We also have liquor stores that stock high-end booze, but the prices are ridiculous.

    Thx

Never bought booze in Pennsylvania. I was only there to visit my in-laws.

Which would have been a wonderful reason to drink, but none of them did.

What type of single malt are you trying to buy?

I can't believe they don't sell Macallen or Laphroaig there.
    Thanks from Madeline

    Like this:

    Scotch is made with barley.

In Scotland. At gorgeous distilleries that have been around for centuries.
So there is NO scotch whiskey SOLD in Kentucky...?

    Have you checked?

    Thx

Unfortunately moisture ruins a lot of things...

In Alberta bars are legally not allowed to infuse alcohol with anything, so they are stuck using artificially flavoured alcohol.

    I wanted this:

I haven't shelled out for any in a long time, and the ones you like are very sophisticated, very peaty. And very spendy. I thought I'd start with something a little less complex, and slightly less expensive.

    Everyone drinks shots in Alberta?

That's odd. No vodka & tonic?

18 year Macallen is good stuff.

I got a couple bottles of this if you want one.

I think it sucks for the price.

    Thanks from Madeline

On a side note.. running your crappy Vodka or Gin 3-4 times through a general Brita (or similar) water filter with a charcoal cartridge... makes it pretty much premium. You gotta try it.
O, that is an excellent tip! Thank you.

But I don't like gin or vodka after Labor Day. To me, they are summertime drinks.
