No, I said I have contributed to, and a member of the site. No-one 'works'.

I've read and discussed every conspiracy from here to the moon but none of them would ever get me prosecuted for libel - no matter what I said.
Ok, so you're into it, so obviously you are aware of the high profile cases regarding Sandy Hook. Those prosecuted for harassment & libel and lost?

Good on you, your decision, but prosecuting people for what they say is poison. The world is round.
Not if you've read some of the ugliness said about the parents of Sandy Hook. If you know the conspiracy theorists claims on this subject and the harassment that some witness and family members of the victims received publicly, you may understand the victims' point of view. Some of it has been so low that it defies belief that some of these idiots could be so callous to the parents of the children.

Honr is about Sandy Hook specifically, not about conspiracy theories in general, but truther ignorance causes harm and that was the point. I know you won't agree (no truther ever does) but there is no 9/11 conspiracy theory regarding the WTC attack that does implicate the emergency services as silent, or knowing accomplices. No one ever thinks very deeply about that as they try to reconcile one witness against the rest in endless circular arguments, but it is true, and the Firehouse forums on the subject demonstrate how & why these theories get such negative responses, and it is always for the same reason: ignorance of the subject and procedure.

No, I support it. The behaviour was reprehensible. I will support HONR again if they ask for financial aid to prosecute another unthinking POS.

I really should leave the Sandy Hook subject to the member, PACE.
    Thanks from MaryAnne

I was reading your post, thinking this may actually be a decent conversation after all. Then I got to the part I bolded above.

I find being called a truther, when I'm not, is disrespectful. I understand your meaning when you call people truther. It's meant as a demeaning label. While I fully understand and agree with the label, pining it on me because I read books about the phenomenon and details of conspiracy theories, fiction stories, and creative writings is just bullshit.

Just as I don't have to believe in God to study religious texts, I don't have to be a truther to entertain every idea before drawing my own conclusion and sating my interests.

Furthermore, I need to see evidence that being a truther causes people harm. I think that's another bullshit position to take.
I will never condone harassing another person, but talking and thinking something is far different than harassing someone.

I know there is a difference between the two and I never harassed anyone about a book I read.

Well I don't use Facebook or Twitter anymore.

If results-based, McCarthyism didn't really work, in the end.

Yes,you should. Many of us know what suffering she went through with those parents.

And,I am going to post this loud and clear!

The ass that wrote that conspiracy about the 58 killed and almost 500 injured should roast in hell! I include those who answered his posts!

What in the hell is wrong that we have so many sick posters on this board all of a sudden?

Could it be because Stormers,or whatever was shut down? It is high time some action be taken here because this board is being ruined for many of us here.

Problem is,this site has now been invaded. It started with a couple, now has become a flood.. Short, hateful posts, second on every subject.

This Conspiracy post should never been allowed on the main board!

We have warmed hearted, loving posters here. They proved that during the hurricanes. Some are very blunt in their speech, but first in line to give a helping hand, Pace, worrying about cooking for others when she was not sure she had a house,Webby, his politics are different, but I also know he suffered the same as I did.

Thx, a man who has been through the mill,as many of us have..

But the invaders are just here to spread hate, any way they can. It has invaded the country.

No,John, truther started with 9/11, spreading on to Obama was not born in the USA, has gotten progressively worse. Spread by those who back the biggest liar of all. A really, sick, mean, nasty narcisstitist sitting in the WhiteHouse.

Aided and abetted by McConnell,an evil old man. Paul Ryan ,a young, evil man,and all those in Congress, who backed them.

This is a thousand times worse than McCarthy ever was. And the one in charge was a partner of Roy Cohn, mcCarthy's Attorney.

Now, those same Republicans are being devoured by the one they put in charge, one who has no loyalty to anyone.

No. You can't put truthers in the same basket as birthers. Many 9/11 widows are 'truthers' and they are not xenaphobes.
