What next? Let little Milly have a Funnel Web Spider?
You would not believe the scope of the problem here. Progress has been made in the last decade, but the owners were mostly allowed to keep their predators.

It's a strange phenomenon here in the heartland.

I have seen and read about it when I'm there, especially California. It's out of control, especially the Tigers. I remember reading about a business that 'rehomes' Tigers when they've grown too big for the family, and the scale of the business was astounding.

'Sure, let's get little Milly a 300 pound predator to play with'.

    That's just insane.

Well, as I said. Nothing induces Americans to parade their mental health challenges in public like an issue related to animals.

We have some really dangerous animals here, and they are all fairly small compared to the dangerous animals indigenous to the US, and perhaps this made us more wary. I mean one can have several Redback spiders in the kitchen, or a Taipan in the ceiling without knowing, so maybe we've become more wary here because they can hide extremely well.

Spot the Death Adder in this pic (I have had these in my yard):

It's damn easy to walk on that without seeing it.

Anyway, I'm sorry for straying off topic, so back to the subject. You may find this article interesting:

With a name like "death adder" who wouldn't want one? He looks playful and cuddly.

Unfortunately, one doesn't normally see them until bitten. Then one doesn't have a lot of time to get help.

I would really like to see each individual circumstance concerning these 'attacks'. Most often this breed and other breeds are provoked.

Canada has a history of not taking proper care of it's animals, they are abusive IME... their laws are disgusting concerning what is legal to do to an animal.

IDK OP, something isn't right concerning the babysitter in the video you provided. At around 8:32 mark she pretends to cry- no tears. That's not normal... given the circumstances, real tears would not be hard to come up with for the normal person.

    Yes, this!

I'm not for banning them other than for one reason only: The stupidest thugs own them, and a ban would hopefully remove these poor animals from their disgusting owners.

You cannot be serious. A 15 month old child?
