Why Didn't Hotel Staff Report The Shooter's Enormous Gun Collection?

Did he simply say "do not disturb"? Or, if the housekeeper was in there, why didn't they report that he had a huge collection of guns and ammo?

How did he get all that material through the lobby and nobody noticed?

He was there for three days before the shooting.

    The "material" was in cases.

He moved them a little at a time over those three days.

Maybe the housekeeping staff never saw any of it.

Why would he bring that many guns up to his room if he was the only shooter? Why complicate things with guns possibly using different magazines, sighting systems. How is each gun sighted? He had at least two different calibers. He obviously put a lot of thought into this. Don't understand the reason for so many weapons. I see having backups in case of failure.

From what I've read he simply carried them up right through the lobby, in gun cases I'm sure but it doesn't look like he was trying to hide what they were.

He was there for 3 days I believe, probably just to get all the guns up there.

And since I think they were all legally owned there's not much the police could have done anyways.

Maybe he was thinking of doing a stand-off with the police?

As far I know they don't search your bags.

That is exactly what I think happened. Plus he had two rooms: The huge 2 bedroom suite and the adjoining smaller room so he could place luggage cases in all the closets without it looking like that many. Cleaning staff does not go through suitcases or baggage.

That and he was meticulous so over planning and over stocking doesn't seem that removed for his accountant mentality.

Here is his suite and the adjoining room. The door between the two was likely unlocked as he booked both:

Plus there are lots of gun shows in Las Vegas.

Even if some of them were spotted, it was not an unusual thing.
    Thanks from Madeline
