    Define high capacity.

Off topic and just plain dumb.

If there were only bolt action and pump action weapons available in Las Vegas, there would't be 58 dead and hundreds wounded. This is a fact.

Whatever damage was done at Sandy Hook would have been worse with a bag full of high capacity magazines in an M-16 firing full auto.

What are we defending here? The question is, what are these for, why do we need them, who do they help, are they useful for anything except killing lots of people? Does nobody have an answer to that?

I mean, even if you want to defend them because you fear a slippery slope, you have to acknowledge that the non-mass-murdering utility of such weapons is nil.

Anything above 10 rounds....according to the 1994-2004 AWB and upheld by the SCOTUS.

Sounds like somebody is not much of a shot. Needs treaining.

The one and only time I ever fired a gun,I shot a string into, holding a nail. I was 15. Pee poor shooters are really a problem if they can not hit a big target.

Crimes? I don't know. But nearly every mass shooting uses high capacity magazines. Again, you are trying to change the subject to one that is not the topic. No one is suggesting that crimes (as in, crime in general) can be stopped by limiting magazine capacity. However, by limiting the capacity of magazines it is certainly submitted that the number of victims during the commission of any give crime using a firearm can be lowered. Would you dispute this? And based on what evidence, or data?

But what if you're attacked by a gang with eleven people?

So you want to ban repeating weapons now also huh?

    There is that slippery slope.

I wanna know what "more shots" are needed for. Here's the thing. If you are hunting, and miss that first shot, then having "more rounds" isn't going to help unless you are proficient at shooting a fleeing animal. So, a higher capacity magazine really wouldn't help in hunting...unless the deer are shooting back. In which case, we should, perhaps, rethink allowing hunting to continue.
    Thanks from Panzareta
