this is an area I tend to differ with most others. I actually think the Republican's in congress can't wait to get rid of Trump. Flake kinda confirmed that for me. As well as McCain and Corker. Then, there's Mitch being in a food fight with Trump's lap dog. There's no way he sees the Trump presidency as good for the party. Just my two cents.

A lot of them would love to get rid of Trump before he destroys the party, but they can't admit it just yet. Opposing Trump is opposing the party, and a sure way to lose the next election, so they'll hold their collective noses and support him. It's an interesting conundrum: Support Trump, or the party abandons you, but you're supporting the man who could just torpedo the very party that is supporting him.

Pass the popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the movie. There are a lot of twists to the plot of this one.

You may well be correct. The sad thing, other than the lives lost, is that many of the Trump ass-kissers will agree with and support. We've already had a thread about a first strike against North Korea. Just go see!

yup. If I recall it was the same with Nixon. The Republican's stood by him until the bitter end. It was only after the tapes came out conclusively implicating him in the cover up that they finally abandoned him. Only with Trump he was never any where near as popular as Nixon was before Watergate.

But, but, Hillary and uranium, and Russia, Oh my!

Hillary Clinton Gave 20 Percent of United States' Uranium to Russia in Exchange for Clinton Foundation Donations
    oops!

But, being false doesn't keep it from being repeated....

and repeated, and repeated over and over. It does help to distract from the Trump disasters.
Thanks from the watchman and labrea
