Obvious that Manafort will be indicted, as well telegraphed as any indictment in history. And?

Do not forget that Mueller is also investigating Tony Podesta, with whom Manafort had a working relationship.

And why did those Russians give the Clinton Foundation $145 million?

The most his distractors can hope for is a fate similar to Nixon. Even though, I'm not sure Trump would simply quit. There are currently those even on MSNBC cautioning people to hold off on their celebrations just yet. Given the reporting it's highly likely Mueller won't find any collusion. At least, not before the election. Less likely he won't after the fact. As Trump just keeps paving the path right to the WH doorstep with his own big mouth.
I'm just talking about the shape that the investigation will show once it's revealed. This is a complicated labyrinth of legal and ethical twists and turns, every one of which will be defended by some Trump surrogate. If Trump is guilty of something, proving it--both politically and legally--won't be a game full of "splash plays." Assuming that's the case, if the good guys win, they will win ugly. Thank Roy Cohn.

Dunno. We should certainly find out. But that headline suggests more than suspicion of Clinton. Isn't obvious that Manafort is a small to medium sized fish?

Something big for sure but I don't think it'll all spill out in one lump but in a steady stream that may take longer than the investigation. Court trials are exhausting and tedious and then come the appeals.

Meanwhile, all but a few will have bonded out. Mueller will in all likelihood take em' one at a time and ride them out til the end. He'll make sure that no one issue of criminal activity gets lost in a giant stew of indictments, appeals, testimony, gag orders, challenging evidence etc.

That's okay. I hope that's the way it goes so it sinks in to every American that there are limits to what politicians can do while jostling for position.

I hope the end product is a cautionary tale of what can happen to you if you lie under oath or lie on federal clearance forms. And, certainly, what can and will happen if you commit treason and then perjure yourself in a cover-up.

That's what happened here and on a grand scale. And, I hope state charges are brought in the money laundering for Russian oligs etc. because those are not covered in pardons available to Trump.

The worst case is that these folks get away with what they've done because of their money and the power that money brings. That would send the worst message I can imagine.

Fasten your seatbelts. This is gonna be a long wild ride. Also a learning opportunity like no other in political history. Especially for folks like us on this forum who enjoy the intricacies of government. I'll not only be watching but taking notes and encouraging my daughter to follow along because this will be her generation's Watergate on steroids.

All told, $145 million went to the Clinton Foundation from those linked to Uranium One and UrAsia, but it went to the charity organization and not the Clinton family. Furthermore, most of those donations occurred before and during Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign, according to The Post.

What personal benefit did the Clintons derive from donations to their charity?

The right keeps equating U-one with the Treason by Trump and ASSociates. False equivalency. The best part is that they're using "FakeNews" to deflect and/or cloud the issues and it will be that same media that will bring him and his down.

Trump cannot expect them to sit back and allow him to bash and insult them without consequence. The GOP has been in politics far longer than he has and know how to play the game.
Don't think that is actually much of a revelation. Trump's fan base in Washington is pretty small. Most on both sides of the aisle were stunned when he won the election.

Now i think the GOP is trying to salvage the best they can out of a bad/awkward situation.

    We will see what happens.

Until then, keep crying, trump is your president.
