    ‘Something fairly big is coming’

I have to admit, this past year has been better than any series I've followed on Netflix or Hulu.

‘Something fairly big is coming’: Ex-FBI double-agent predicts Russia bombshell after Trump evasions

MSNBC anchor Joy Reid investigated whether the latest revelations involving Cambridge Analytica and Wikileaks may be related to Republicans ‘hysteria’ to find a Russia-related story that tarnishes Democrats.
“Do you think these two things are connected?” Reid asked Naveed Jamili, a former FBI double-agent who wrote the book How to Catch a Russian Spy.
“I think they are,” Jamili replied. “You’re absolutely right, there’s something big coming.”
“I think that these people are worried and the best they can do is do a preemptive attack on whatever it is that’s coming,” Jamili explained. “The fact that these things are coming out now, when there’s no reason to rebut anything, is for lack of a better word, just ‘curious.’ I think it’s exactly what you’re leading towards, which is there is something coming, they know about this, and they’re preemptively trying to distract the American public from something fairly big that’s coming down the pike.”
“I was also thinking that the Trump administration kind of blew past this Oct. 1 deadline to implement the sanctions on Russia, so perhaps it’s not so much something that they’re looking to preempt that’s happening in the future, but something that they’re trying to distract from that they didn’t do already,” suggested Business Insider correspondent Natasha Bertrand.

The diversionary tactics alone were an indication that the GOP was in hot water. Now we know that the Trump campaign was in direct contact with WikiLeaks, attempting to assist with distribution of information illegally stolen by Russian hackers. We already knew that pretty much everyone involved with the Trump campaign had lied about not meeting with Russian agents, when Jr's emails later detailed that a Russian agent wanted to meet with them to discuss how they could assist the Trump campaign in defeating Hillary Clinton. They don't even try to deny that they did meet with them, because it's on the record.

What the public knows is surely only the tip of the iceberg of information that Mueller has gathered. Republicans in Congress better hurry up and pass their huge tax cut for the rich, because we're getting closer and closer to the shit finally hitting the fan.

Yep. I think Christopher Steele got a lot of things right in his dossier and much of it has been corroborated. He's been talking to investigators here and they've been listening.

I wonder if Trump or the GOP will commit a crime trying to place a crime on Hillary or Obama.

At the very least, he's probably going to try to fire Mueller.

Wag the dog. North Korea, that's his out. but a lot of people will die, and our debt will balloon, and there will be nothing left but scorched earth.

Unlike Nixon, he has nothing to fear in the way of repercussions from the majority party in Congress. Aside from a handful of outliers, congressional Republicans have proved that they have no ethics, no morals, no values, no spine and no balls.

When I FIRST heard about the dossier, I was skeptical--moles, spies, politics, Russians, money, sex, yadda yadda yadda. Until within pretty short order, some INTEL guy came on MSNBC, and said given who the author was, what his credentials (I'm pretty sure he used impeccable) were and he was the real deal, this dossier was more likely to be factual. He was pretty adamant about it given the author.

9 months now and no one has found a hole in his data?

PS Do we really think a FICTION writer would take his family and go into hiding for weeks after it's untimely release if it was just all made up?

I sincerely doubt that the dossier is all that Mueller has in the way of evidence. It has probably served primarily as a roadmap for seeking information above and beyond what was already at his disposal. Many of Trump's campaign cronies were under surveillance before the public even became aware of Russia's meddling in our presidential election.

A judge didn't issue a no-knock warrant to search Manafort's house unless there was significant evidence to indicate criminal activity. You just don't issue invalid warrants against someone who has the financial means to successfully challenge an improper warrant in court. For a poor, working class stiff? Sure. Why not? For someone with Manafort's wealth and political connections? Hell no.
