Whut? That's ridiculous. Whut legitimate government goal is advanced by excluding convicted people from the political process?

People will vote for this clown.
It's codespeak for "I hate black people", so it doesn't matter that it isn't true.

They SHOULD vote. Why would an armed robbery conviction mean you can't form a valuable opinion on school financing or foreign policy?

What about the OP, still waiting on your outrage there.

I didn't say that they shouldn't, now did I? Read my post carefully, no where did I say that they should or shouldn't vote.

Why should I have outrage? It is up to the voters if they elect the person or not. Sheriff Victor Hill of Clayton County, Georgia was pending trial for a 22 count indictment when he won another term. I didn't see anything wrong with him winning. If that's whom the people want. Joe Arpaio is a different situation. He wasn't convicted of any felony. He hasn't lost his right to carry a gun, vote, or run.

Because you popped a hemorrhoid over Jessie Jackson, while tap dancing around the subject?
What opinions that applied to the black guy, should apply to the OP, no?
    A criminal is a criminal.

I am not upset about Jessie Jackson, Jr. I was merely bringing a fact to the conversation.
