Fair enough - but while Ted Nugent does not speak for you - he legitimately speaks for the NRA.

Thank you for that. I didn't know. I'm sorry it was not more appreciated then, but it certainly was to me. My brother fought in that war and it messed him up.

You have every right to be angry at Ted Nugent.
    Thanks from One

Why not? Just by making dumb statements like this, the 'Nuge' presents himself as the stereotypical gun nut that shouldn't own weapons. He does more damage to his so-called cause with dumb shit like this than any rational argument ever could.

Let him rave and drool like the lunatic he is, and give gun nuts a bad name in the process.
    Thanks from TennesseeRain

I hate Nugent. I come from a military family going waaaaaay back. Nugent is a slime-ball.

So do I, Mate. A grandfather at 2nd Bullecourt 1917; an uncle captured during the fall of Singapore and another fought on the Kokoda track. My father served in Vietnam, and I tried to get in all three services but was rejected owing to chronic asthma.

I tried to sign up during the gulf war but was turned down due to mental instability, even though they didn't quite word it that way. They only wanted normal people to go thousands of miles away to kill people. Us crazy people should never be allowed anywhere near guns and stuff. We might start shooting up the wrong side or whatever.
Thanks from Ian Jeffrey and Blues63

I well imagine that many members of the NRA wish that Ted would enjoy a nice tall glass of STFU.

Actually, the NRA votes for the a third of members of the board.

new year, a new election. If you’re eligible to vote for the 2018 National Rifle Association Board of Directors, you recently received a ballot via your preferred NRA magazine. There’s a total of 76 seats on the NRA Board of Directors, and each year 25 seats are up for election to a 3-year term (with one seat filled to a 1-year term by a vote of members attending the Annual Meeting).

Therefore, with a total 26 open seats in 2018, it’s important to select the most qualified and proactive individuals for the available spots on the board.

I don't know if that includes TN's seat or not.
