September Jobs Report Great News, 248K jobs created, Unemployment Under 6%

Wow! Unemployment under 6%. Corporate profits at record highs. Stock Market near record highs. We are back at war.

Middle Class wages are still stagnant.

This is a Republican Dream Come True.

    What say you?

Unemployment rate falls below 6% for first time since 2008 - Oct. 3, 2014

Great, laid off people got some of their jobs back before the next massive layoffs hit!!

When the labor participation rate returns to where it was at the end of Bush's Presidency get back to me. I am also amused by the Governments claims that there is no inflation. I guess these bureaucrats never go grocery shopping or buy gas.

Buried at the bottom of your CNN propaganda piece was this little nugget:

But others say there aren't that many job openings out there, especially for positions offering decent wages.

"It's still hard to find a good-paying job," said Jabari Jones, 32, a Forest Park, Ga., resident who said he was fortunate to recently land a $20 hourly job at Coca-Cola.

In a CNN/ORC survey released Thursday, 57% of those polled said the nation's economy was poor, compared with 42% who described conditions as good.

Liberals have to hate these reality checks. Meanwhile, the massive federal debt continues to escalate towards $18 trillion ( $17,875,258,091,207.08) with no end in sight and the looming reality that any movement towards normal interest rates will compound the problem.

Yes, by all means it is time to do the happy dance.

You liberals and your smoke and mirror numbers...don't you know that 58 million Americans stopped looking for work.

The employment rate has to drop to -10% to be accurate.

America's real Unemployment numbers - 58 Million Americans Stopped looking for work. Numbers pulled from my ass

Do you know the population growth in America since 1978? Nearly 100 million. The participation rate has been declining since the year 2000.

US population in 1978 was 222 million

US population in 2013 was 317 million.

Not to mention the flaming pile of economic shit Bush left at the White House door. You remember the Recession near depression he left us.

The Bush administration, the U.S. lost 3.5 million jobs, including 760,000 jobs during January 2009 alone in the last 6 months of his term. Talk about a fuck-up.

    Maybe this is the problem?

...and to think all was rosy when the unemployment rate was 6% under Bush and the participation rate was declining. Beautiful.

That is the problem. Labor force participation is the lowest it's been in decades. Job growth isn't keeping up with population growth and it's only people dropping out of the work force that is lowering the unemployment rate.
