Well you know Politifact is a left wing nut job site? Just because all of the media is now owned by conservatives doesn't mean anything, or does it?

I've heard persons that grow up in extreme poverty and difficult situations make up alternate realities. It is a coping mechanism.

I have no doubt Carson actually believes he took a portrait photo with American Jesus.

Ben Carson on PolitiFact - not a single true or mostly true statement

Why does anyone trust these "fact check" sites like politifact and the one owned by the crazy cat lady?

    Edit:

Not that I'm saying the statements were all true either.

I don't doubt the he believes the crap that flies out of his pie-hole either.

Which is well ... scary to say the least.

As if the thought of Trump isn't scary enough?

Ben in the Oval Office is WAY scarier.

PolitiFact, FactCheck & Snopes are all VERY reputable.

And they knock lefty statements nearly as often as they do ones from the right.

*Reason being, lefties don't sling whoppers quite so frequently ;-)

Really, the ratings quoted in the OP are obviously subjective. However, politifact and other sites like it write relatively long, factual discussions of the issues before rendering their judgment. You'd have to read those articles to get a sense of just how mendacious is Ben Carson.

That's a joke, right? They are accurate in some respects, yes... But they are politically motivated groups that are just as likely to cover up facts as they are to present things accurately.

I've written much about issues where theses groups have presented things as fact that are complete fabrications, and vice versa... I don't have examples off the top of my head, but I'm sure I could dig up some of those examples of prodded to,

Oh no, I'm not defending Ben Carson... Not in the slightest.

The point I was getting at was that we cannot leave our thought process to these groups claiming to be the arbiters of reality, particularly when you consider the political motivations of these groups.

What "groups" are you talking about? Every one of those politifact columns bears the name of a journalist. How does a blog in a newspaper become a "group?"
Thanks from Friday13, April15 and Bluegrass
