Trump's poll ratings in a historic hole

In 2016ís race to the bottom, Donald Trump is going to find out if you can become president when two-thirds of Americans donít like you ó and a majority canít stand you.
Recent polls have showed Trumpís unfavorable rating spiking again, after a brief improvement last month. Thatís also coincided with a slide in national horse-race polls, which now unanimously show Hillary Clinton leading the presumptive Republican nominee. Clinton is also more unpopular than past nominees, but her negatives are neither as wide nor as deep as the broadly detested Trump.
Trump is setting modern records for political toxicity ó at least for a major-party candidate this far out from an election. Seventy percent of Americans surveyed in an ABC News/Washington Post poll out this week had an unfavorable opinion of Trump, up 10 points over the past month. The poll showed Trumpís favorable rating cratering at 29 percent, down from 37 percent last month.

In case you were wondering why Trump never tweets about his polling anymore.

Trump seems to see no difference between a presidential campaign and his role on The Apprentice.

He certainly hasn't figured out the difference between a Republican primary electorate and a general election electorate.

    He's learning though...

Its going to be interesting to see where he goes with this. Will he get more bombastic or actually appear 'presidential'. Personally, I don't think its in his dna to act presidential. I think we will see a freefall in his numbers because he simply cannot control himself. I really hope he splits with the RNC ..... It will give them a great excuse to change the rules at the convention.

The Manafort-Trump presidential model is more foot in mouth prone than the Trump primary model was. I keep hearing reports that Clinton is running ads (seen her soft and fuzzy ad running in CA) and Trump isn't running ads anywhere.

From the nominee on down, the Trump campaign is very disorganized and off message.

The Republican triage is to save the down ticket candidates if they can. This may the first presidential election in which a major party is resigned to lose the WH as an election strategy.
