Same excuse you guys have been using for the last 4 elections.

The Democrats hold less seats in Congress than they have held since the 1920's.

    But, it's gerrymandering, right?

You forget the Republicans have lost 7 for President. I did not make any excuses. I stated facts. My state is one of the most gerrymandered in the country.

And I hope Ryan beats Pelosi. We have had enough of the elite on both sides of the country. Trump won most of the Midwest. There is a reason for that. If Democratic leaders work with Trump to repair the country I could care less which so called party gets credit.

I think Schumer is much like Trump. I know they are long time friends. If they work to accomplish what needs to be done, that is fine with me. I am hot hide bound to any party.

    LOL .....

There is nothing left of the Democratic Party and still you are unable to see it.
The fact is, there is not much left of the elite Republicans, either. Trump ran against them. So quit the gloating. Republicans lost seats.

However, I don't have much confidence his colleagues will listen to him.

It may be too late for the Party as a whole.

We can expect to see another heavy handed blow to the Democratic Party in 2018.

I'm not sure there is a recovery.
Who is Rep. Tim Ryan ...again?

I suppose it is up to the Democrats to try to save their party.

But, things are not looking good for them.

The rioting, the police shootings and all the other crazy stuff fomented by the left had an effect on this election.

Americans are sick of being called racist, bigots, deplorables, etc.

Sick of the war on cops.

Sick of the lies and propaganda from the MSM.

I believe all of these things played a significant roles in the results from the primaries in 2010, 2014 and this past GE.

I believe these things will be in play once again in 2018.

With 4 LEO's shot in 3 states in 24 hrs. and Chuck Schumer saying he will not compromise with Trump on Climate Change or the ACA it sure appears the Democratic Party is about to double down on FAIL once again.

Donald Trump is already moderating his "To Do List". In a video message to America, gone is the bravado of building the wall and repealing ACA.

Trump has to reach into the Establishment bag of Republicans to fill the 4000 appointments. There is only one Donald Trump, there are thousands upon thousands of establishment Republicans.

President elect Trump says he will use Executive Orders...his pen to change many of the rules that govern us.

In conclusion lets compare what Donald Trump has done since elected...
    1. Has already moderated his hard line...red line stances.
    2. Has had to go to establishment Republicans to help him govern.
    3. Draining the swap has died...the swap is drowning the Trump Presidency already.

The Republican Party is irrelevant to this thread.

The thread is about how the Democratic Party is about to cease being a national party post the 2018 mid-terms.

    That's over 1000 seats lost since 2010.

You may want to check up on that.
You said seats in congress didn't you? Just in case you don't know governors are not members of congress, neither are state legislature.

Tim Ryan is a Congressman from Northern Ohio who has been speaking out for the worker just like Sherrod Brown has for years. He understands why the worker is angry.
