Yes the establishment from both parties lost.

But, the Democratic Party is on the verge of extinction, not the GOP.

The two party system is the norm. It's just a matter of making adjustments. Neither party is going anywhere, unless the majority of the public gets together on a third party.

As you can see, like a lot of the Right?

John fantasizes about America becoming a One Party State....or a country where the Democrats are identical to the Far Right Republicans.

Then there will be only One Party, John, right? Ruling over for 1000 years?

Sounds oddly familiar to us history buffs.

I agree although I see wild swings in the future. People aren't as loyal anymore as they once were to a party. Plus millennials are over 40% independent so they wont have loyalties and it could affect whether they stay home or vote third party in the future if they don't like the 2 parties.

The Democratic Party holds less seats than they have held in 87 years.

    This happens all the time?

    Sure about that?

And this is the point I'm trying to make.

Despite what the extremist think on this site, I am not for a one party system nor am I for a large portion of the population of this Country going without political representation.

But, at the moment, that sure appears the direction we are going.

The Democratic Party will not reconnect with the working class nor will they turn lose of their beloved donor class.

They have no real power and they do not represent the members of their constituency.

    I agree.

I think that is a more likely scenario.

It appears at the moment that a third party is inevitable.

If that happens, what will become of the Democrat Party?
