Agree. The Tea Party was declared dead in 2012. Trump was considered a joke when he announced his candidacy. Toto has pulled the curtain back.

We are not moving towards a Mayberry RFD consensus, that is a myth conservatives believe in so desperately that they will never give it up. Our young people are not turning into little conservatives who hate gay people or detest inter-racial marriage or interactions. They are far more open and loving towards each other than the boomers ever were because they simply do not see these issues through the lens of our parents and grandparents. The nation appreciates the clean air, water and seas we passed on to them after we cleaned up the mess our parents left us. They want more protected rights not less and they want them for everyone not just a crypto-facist set of Christian fundamentalists gibbering in tongues in tiny little churches in the real "murica". They want lower costs of education, they know the boomers got a great deal on education and want the same deal. They want good jobs, the ability to own a home and raise a family but they are not so stupid that they accept Reaganomics as the cure, they are living the outcomes of that dreaded ideology. Does the GOP control the nation right now? Yes. But that will still not change the underlying movement leftwards.
    You have that right!

The young are increasingly smart and Educated. They do not accept the old ways.

    Even I do not. Smart TV's, Smart Phones,Hundreds of Channel's,DVR!s,IPads,Smart auto 's..

Much like Charlton Heston. They will take them out of my cold, dead hands.

who? The Democrat party historically tries to silence dissent and continues to do that today. The supporting media does not report all the facts in order to push the Democrat party message. That is Fascism

Rubbish. It is Donald Trump who has declared the free press to be 'the enemy of the American people'. THAT is fascism. Going after the free press, and silencing them, is Rule Number One in the Fascists' Handbook of How to Seize Power.

Poppycock. Trump has gone after the corrupt lapdogs in the press that parrot Democrat party propaganda, not the free press.

You're the victim of propaganda yourself. You've been effectively brainwashed.

Ol' Tom Jefferson said he would rather have newspapers, with no government, than to have government, with no newspapers. Ol' Tom was right.

    And your evidence?

Is Roe remainiing legal "more conservative"? Is gay marriage becoming legal "more conservative"?

Is the GOP, particularly the Religious Right, embracing a gambling tycoon on his THIRD marriage to his SECOND mistress "more conservative"?

Is Trump saying Caitlyn Jenner can use "any bathroom in my building she feels is appropriate" "more conservative"?
