Russian hacking the election should be easier to find than a wiretap on Trump towers. Democrats just lack the resolve?

Trump did it again. He got exactly what he wanted. He has completely subverted the investigation into the election into a waste of time invalidating his stupid "Obama wiretapped me" claim. It doesn't matter whether the claim was false, or not. It doesn't matter whether Trump knew it was false when he made it, or not. It served its purpose. It changed the conversation, and the scope of the investigation. He won. Again.

It was mentioned on the Sunday talk shows.

    They're holding hearings.

Trump is a disgrace to the Presidency of the United States. A deviant, an embarrassment to our Country. The Shirt, Tie (which are made in China and Bangladesh) and the Suit he wears are the only things that reflect he's our President. This is a President that is still in campaign mode. He speaks only to his uneducated base and not the rest of America. He's done nothing to even try to bring our country together.

Trump lies like people breath. He has all kinds of intelligence at his fingertips and yet he relies on News Articles and Fox News to get his information. He's put people around him like Bannon who are the scum of the earth. It's unbelievable. It's truly sickening.

Not so fast. The Congress and the public have not forgotten.

Yes, it should. Squirrels are a lot easier to find than bigfoot, and for the same reason: Squirrels actually exist.

Then the Democrats will resolve the issue, or we just assume without tangible proof?

Actually we sort of agree about this.

His wiretap accusation probably was just a political ploy to put his rivals on the defensive. If anything, it threw something else into the pot so it wasn't just this ridiculous Russian conspiracy narrative dominating the news.

For a political novice - the President is more skilled at politics than many give him credit for. Sadly for the liberal democrats they still haven't figured out that when they allow him to push their buttons and stir them into a frenzy they are just feeding right into his hands. He's been doing this successfully since he started his campaign and it's kind of sad they still haven't learned.

I felt the same way when Obama and Hillary diverted attention away from their failed DNC convention talking points after the Benghazi matter. They managed a three week delay, the bulk of the press let them get away with it and then Hurricane Sandy made Benghazi "old news" and by the time of the debate on foreign policy all the press acolytes marched in lock step to claim that Obama had called it terrorism. It was a masterful spin and deflection job. I wonder if any of the Trump haters will admit that Obama shares the media manipulation gene with "The Donald?"

Actually, Trump's false accusation is bad in two ways.

First, Trump gratuitously impugned the character of a former president, and Trump needs to apologize to Obama.

Second, Trump's gratuitous slander of Obama was done to get the Russia scandal out of the news, and the question is why?

Perhaps it is more evidence there is something in that scandal.
