I should wait until later today to get Gallup's numbers from yesterday. But in case I'm otherwise occupied and don't get an updated snapshot to replace this with, here are the current RCP numbers for a baseline of numbers from before Trump bombed Syria. Let's see if he gets a bump.

    Thanks from bajisima

That would have been a single poll. Not the aggregate.

Mainly today I want to get a snapshot so that we can see if this bombing incident gives him a bounce. I'm sure a lot of people are happy that it happened. I'm sure lots did a fist pump and exclaimed "yes!" Probably more than Trump's core.

IBD/TIPP in the RCP list has him at 34% for polling between 3/24 to 3/30.

Here's the quick update with yesterday's Gallup added in.

    Ready. Set. Wait.

    Some post-bombing numbers to compare.

Gallup approval up 1 point, Rasmussen up 2, CBS up 3. Economist/YouGov has the same approval but disapproval ticked up 2 points.

The poll numbers posted yesterday had approval going down a little. Now that we have had another bombing let's see if Trump gets another couple of points bump out of it.

Does anyone know what previous presidents had at this point? How much lower than average is Trump? Are we talking 10 percentage points or much more?

Go to Gallup. They do the historical comparison.

Yes. Since 1953 until now the lowest on the Gallup poll was Bill Clinton at 55% approval. [Edit: well, that's for the first 100 days, so Trump has a couple of weeks to pull it up.]
