Trump seems to be going out of his way to distance himself from Bannon. I read this morning that he had denied even knowing him prior to his joining the general election campaign. Of course, that was a lie. He's known Bannon at least since 2011, and had appeared on his radio broadcasts several times over the years.

I can understand why the alt-right crowd is nervous, what with the recent decline of Bannon's influence and the simultaneous rise of Ivanka and Kushner's influence within the Trump administration. After all, both of them are registered Democrats.

maybe Trump knows he has to work with moderates and maybe democrats to actually get anything done.

A Ted Cruz presidency would have fared no better.

Trump has to decide if he goes full JEB.

I do think both Bannon and Spicer are on their way out. Oh sure they will say all is fine but it isn't. The influence of the Kushners is dramatic almost to the day Ivanka got an office in the WH.

They just don't vote for him again. Most of his supporters who are not alt-right want to see him keep his promises in regards to the domestic issues he ran on. And so far, he's failing them on that front.

I'm thinking this new "hawkish" MM is more a diversion away too from the Russia story that just keep getting bigger and bigger. Course that does make the hawks happy.

Do you really see him running again? I don't. I think he will be one and done. As for the Russia thing, its also possible these bombings are intended to make the hawks happy so they don't push for more investigations. He makes them happy they will like him. I can only imagine there is wheeling and dealing like we wouldn't believe behind the scenes.

Can only hope he is one and done...he is so ignorant..

President Donald Trump recounted an absolutely astounding detail about one of his conversations with Chinese President Xi Jinping in comments published by the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday afternoon. Apparently, Trump came into his first meeting with the Chinese leader, in early April, convinced that China could simply eliminate the threat posed by North Korea’s nuclear program. Xi then patiently explained Chinese-Korean history to Trump — who then promptly changed his mind.

“After listening for 10 minutes, I realized it’s not so easy,” the president told the Journal. “I felt pretty strongly that they had a tremendous power [over] North Korea. ... But it’s not what you would think.”

I'm shocked to learn that he was capable of listening for 10 minutes, when the topic of discussion was not Trump.

Anyone with half a brain would know that North Korea is "complicated"..

It's obvious he doesn't know the first thing about policy and word is that his actions are dictated by the last person he talked too.

Doesn't really inspire a lot of faith that he has not one clue that he actually knows what he is doing.
