And it has always been, and will continue to be that way.
You act as if this is something new. But it isn't too hard to pull the story from the fluff.

Trumps base is not turning on him.

That's fake news, it doesn't matter how much you guys living in the Alt Left Bubble want to believe it.

And, rarely do I use MSM sources.

It's difficult to find a MSM source that is accurate.

    Especially an opinion piece.

To me that says...If anyone was suckered, then that was on them. Buyer beware.

The only people I feel for are all those voters that really believed him out of their desperation...that he really cared and would help them.

There is a difference in the voters that believed Trump would help them with jobs and their communities

...And the voters that want Trump to fuck over aliens and Muslims.
With every candidate there are pros & cons. Then there is the issue of who is running on the other side. There is campaign talk and then the reality of being president. As president there will be opposition at every turn. Who is in the background pushing the buttons of policy may be pushing Trump from his original objectives. Time will tell what shakes out. The Middle East will be a big anchor around him as it has for sixteen years and two previous administrations.

But for now he is using these isolated missile strikes as a way to get higher approval numbers.
Approval numbers should be meaningless at this point, sound policies and executing them are what count.

Trump campaigned as an ardent and unapologetic nationalist. He railed against international and regional institutions and said America needed to stop spending money overseas and start taking care of business at home. He told us Assad was not the problem and Putin was a guy with whom he could do business.

But in less than a week Trump has morphed into a guy who could almost be mistaken for a conventional Republican president. Trump appeared in the White House's East room yesterday and gave remarks that could've come from the mouth of George H.W. Bush.

Of course the GOP is trying to "normalize" him when it come to foreign policy - because they like what they see in that regard.

Domestic issues - remains to be seen.
What goes on behind the scenes is likely way beyond anything we can imagine. That may be where the real power resides. They call the shots and the president is the front man.

People should read The Art of the Deal, Trump sees all this as a negotiation, and looks at his own position as flexibility. Meanwhile, Progs litter PH with dozens of useless and pointless threads daily.

There are some folks here that love their fake news.

I can only assume they trust the "opinions" they post as real.
