Trump Already Headed Towards Reelection, Dems Overplayed Hand

Camille Paglia: Trump Already Headed Towards Reelection, Democrats Have Overplayed Their Hand

New York Times columnist Frank Bruni moderates a 'Times Talks' discussion between legendary feminist Camille Paglia and 'Watch What Happens Live' host Andy Cohen about life in the Trump era. Paglia says Bruni's newspaper and the Democratic Party still have "soul searching" left to do about why they called 2016 wrong. "It is incumbent upon the defeated party to pull itself together, or else we're going to get the reelection of the present administration," she said.

"I didn't take him seriously at all," she said about the early days of the Trump campaign. "And then, shortly after the very first Republican debate, I saw Diamond & Silk, the African-American sisters doing a pro-Trump attack on Megyn Kelly on their podcast, and... I suddenly saw the populism, and from that moment forward, I could feel the momentum of it. The New York media was in an absolute bubble about this," she added.

The Democrat hierarchy is blowing it big time. All they have is lies and violence. Voters are watching the party stab itself in the neck and it may be defaulting itself into a regional party. The era of conservatism is upon us, finally.

A] Paglia never defines or explains how the Democrats 'over played their hand'

B] Paglia never explained why she believes Trump will be re-elected...Or/and if Democrats 'over playing their hand' would be a/the reason Trump gets re-elected.

Paglia says she was a Bernie supporter but voted for Jill Stein. She also believed 2016 was Marco Rubio's race to loose, because the GOP was looking for a Latino leader. ...?

She doesn't need to. We see it and you don't; that's the point. That's why she lost. It's why the dems have lost 1000 seats, both Houses, the presidency, and influence on the scotus. And we are going to stack that court like a mountain of bricks. Congrats for giving it all to us.

As long as the Democratic Party insists on lies and violence, false charges of racism on anyone who disagrees, and lives in denial about why they keeps losing seats, I'm good. I hope they keep it up.

just had a referendum election on Trump. Everyone who aligned themselves with Trump were kicked to the curb the hardest. Just gotta love the spin. On Monday it's too early tell how well Trump's presidency is going to go. On Wednesday he's a shoe in for reelection. Even though he's had no major legislative victory. And has to struggle coming up with a narrative to spin his first 100 days into a success.

There is no question the Democratic Party is no longer a national party.

A regional party at best but, more likely just a coastal party.

The Democrats will loose even more seats in next years mid-terms.

This "soul searching" Paglia is referring to is not going to happen.

The leaders in the Democratic Party will not abandon their donors or their own power to put the party or those they are suppose to represent first.

Diane Feinstein is running for re-election at the age of 84.

If she wins she'll be some 90 years old at the end of her term.

Again, these people are not going to give up the money or the power to do what's best for the party or the people they claim to be representing.

    The party is finished.

The libs simply are not able to see it.
