Obama was treated horribly and for the most part in public he ignored it.

Trump lashes out and makes things even worse.

His lashing out is another example of his *poor little me* mode. He and his family and his staff are trying to spin it as him being a "fighter" in a good way. But he's obliterating his ability to function in a presidential capacity. His grotesque (and ironic) reactions make him a laughingstock. Republican politicians who have tried to rally around him keep having to distance themselves from particular attacks he makes. Less than 25% of America thinks how he's handling himself on Twitter is a good thing.
This is turning into a diatribe about Trump so there isn't much to respond to here.

All I will say is that Obama was not treated horribly. The President simply raised questions about where he was born. Not all of us are so enamored with Obama that we feel a need to treat him with kid gloves. Nor did Obama take it as such. As I said - Obama thought the entire thing was amusing (as did I).

So if that is your best example of Trump supposedly treating Obama horribly I'm going to have to say I'm not sold.

For the most part - the things Trump says and does are grotesquely exaggerated for either political effect or out of personal animus. I believe that to be the case here. Because it's rather obvious you have a personal distaste for him.

No, he doesn't. He's disgraced himself, his family, his supporters and his country.

And yet we see it happening here.

But the percentages of people who dispute it are falling.

Why is it any different when Trump complains about how the press treats him and then others complain about Trump treated Obama?

It seems like the same thing to me.

We all complain about things we think are unfair. That is hardly unique to Trump.

I think it's disrespectful and beneath the office when he does it. I think it would be disrespectful if anyone else does it.

Let me ask you this. If we claim something to be wrong and then do it ourselves, does it make it less wrong? Does it weaken our initial claim?

Why? The Democrats are going to oppose anything he presents, no matter what it is.
