During the 50s we were powerless.

We do that all the time at work, but we know each other really well. It would be inappropriate if one didn't have a relationship first.

I have worked for DOT and in various towns as a planner/civil engineer. We all tell each other how we look or if one is "gorgeous today" or "super hot looking." Its just how we talk.

The high road sounds good, the low road seems to be winning right now. I am still looking for that honorable man. He seems to be MIA!
    I'm sticking with more outreach.

The question of "high road" aside, a lot of people don't feel that Democrats care about them. That was supposed to be Democrats' strength -- being the party of the people.

When I talk about different ways that Democrats have made flyover country feel insulted or neglected or condescended to or whatever negative thing is suppressing the vote, I get laughed at by people here who talk about how those voters are stupid and anyone who is letting their feelings get in the way of the right vote is stupid.

    Vicious cycle.

This kinda razzing is gonna keep happening on internet forums.

But the politicians can do something different. They gotta get out and make connections with constituents. More visible connections with ordinary constituents than with lobbyists.

Not really. I was never powerless. And a few men found that out. The mouth is a wonderful weapon when the other person is 2 feet taller than you!

Yes,and now many of those people who felt powerless are finding out what a sick, self centered man they voted for.

At this point just giving Trump and the Republicans room to hang themseleves. Trump just told Mitch to pull it off. Ever mind the millions that will lose.

    Trump wants a win.

But I suspect you would forgive Trump when, as the news brought out, he mocked the disabled person, huh?

The democrats have utterly lost the moral high ground... Most just haven't realized it yet.

I keep bringing up the analogy of how people used to hunt wolf. You put a bloody knife with the handle buried. The wolf comes up smelling the blood and things it found a good meal, so it licks the blade. It tastes the blood and gets excited so it keeps licking... A few hours later the wolf will have bled out oblivious to the fact that it Drank its own blood dry.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Yes, it's the democrats who DIDN'T collude with a hostile foreign enemy who are the bad guys here. You're a real piece of work.
