He also remains quite different than say Iran because he comes out and claims he wants to destroy us. Iran claims they are for energy.

The loudmouth that yells at you "I'll fuck you up!" in public isn't the one to fear, typically

It's the one who may even smile at you and act like your friend, who may also be quietly plotting actual murder against you, often enough...

Me too. I keep thinking of Colin Powell saying if you break it you bought it.

NATO would not be a thing the US could count on if we goad North Korea into a war of the crazies where both sides look bad. China has been smart in laying out clearly that they are on the side of no armed conflict. They have been lecturing both North Korea and the US.

Not that I'm a strategist, but just armchair quarterbacking for our discussion.
The problem is that in the event of any attack, heís got enough time to attack Seoul and Tokyo causing a death toll like the world had never seen. His launchers are mobile and the missile flight is too short.

Even then, as in the case of sending a Missile OVER Japan, it probably would not provoke war, but, push things.

And, as he keeps pushing, America will keep putting assets in the region, even as Japan, South Korea, and, perhaps, Taiwan, start upping their military preparedness.

Inevitably, CHINA, will have to either DO something about Fat Kim (What??? I have no idea), or, face a far greater American presence (above and beyond, what we already have), in the region.

As it is, Fat Kim and The Don are just farting in each other's direction. While that may help Fat Kim keep his own people subjugated, his nation is swiftly losing any sort of support.

When China shuts down the supply lines that SUPPORT North Korea, the fat little goon will have some troubles just keeping things running.

What he does then? Who know's.
TO THE BOLD - But, what constitutes an "Act of War"? Does trying to bomb a US territory, and failing, itself rise to the definition? Or does it require an actual, successful attack on the US? Would the attack on Pearl Harbour have been considered an "Act of War", had it failed?

True we don't know what his true intentions are. But that's what makes it more dangerous.

It's no secret that I don't like Trump, but my answer is yes, definitely. Then we should have some type of military response. We cannot allow a sovereign country to attack one of our territories without doing something in return. I don't care which party is in charge.
