Trump thanks Putin for expelling U.S. diplomats

Instead of rebuking him, President Donald Trump on Thursday thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for expelling American diplomats from Russia on the grounds that were going to save a lot of money.

I want to thank him because were trying to cut down our payroll, and as far as Im concerned Im very thankful that he let go of a large number of people because now we have a smaller payroll, Trump told reporters at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, according to a pool report.

Theres no real reason for them to go back, he added. I greatly appreciate the fact that weve been able to cut our payroll of the United States. Were going to save a lot of money.

As if there is any more proof needed that BLOTUS likes to kiss Putin's behind and is a moron.

I think this guy truly, truly is this clueless, where a retaliatory diplomatic move he lamely tries to spin as not a failing on his part.

Only the payroll is not cut, the people come back and are kept on the State Departments payroll waiting for re-assignment. Give Trump some basic lessons in how it all works please idiot staff around Trump. Not only does Trump show he is still afraid to criticize Putin but he shows the world he doesn't know how govt works.

Putin also seized two diplomatic properties. I supposed Trump will thank him for just taking them, saving us the upkeep?

No. We were told in a meeting with Asst Scty Sullivan the other day that they were out of a job. I've been busy making arrangements for the families.

I hope they take advantage of unemployment food stamps, et AL to the fullest.

The good news is that most being fired (400 or so) are Russians and other expats working service jobs, not Americans.
