    Just an observation here.
Trump's past actions speak much louder than any words he can spew at this point. His credibility is utterly shot-through, but that is all his own doing. It's not someone else's fault.

Agreed. He would still take a hit, but going after the specific groups would have been smarter and came across more sincere.

Don't disagree. That's the problem when you keep swallowing your shoes and not learning the lesson!

It appears he doesn't want to upset a sub-section of his "base" - no matter how vile they are. Not very Presidential if you ask me.

In contrast Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan had no problems calling out the obvious bigotry.

I'd like to send kudos out to Trump for the tweet regarding what happened today:

"Our country encourages freedom of speech, but let's communicate w/o hate in our hearts. No good comes from violence. #Charlottesville"

Of course, that came from Melania Trump, about 45 minutes before her husband said anything... but still.

You show your ignorance. Nobody wins because all were showing hate

"We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides," Trump said during a short statement from his private golf club in New Jersey. "It has been going on for a long time in our country -- not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama. It has been going on for a long, long time. It has no place in America."

The President did not mention white nationalists and the alt-right movement in his remarks, and later called for a "study" of the "situation."
