I don’t use the word ‘green’ for anything other than what it was traditionally used for, unless debating about this subject. Hippies use ‘green’ to talk about what’s “good” for the environment, but then again, they believe the earth is alive. It’s a religion for them. In reality of course, the planet is not alive, and we are not hurting it in any shape or form.

Black smoke from burning fossil fuels isn't green.
Hippies say that volcanoes are great because they’re ‘natural’, even though they belch out far more pollution than cavemen ever did. So on that basis, yes; a caveman’s black smoke was “green”. This is why you don’t see hippies criticizing tribes when they burn stuff, or hunt exotic animals, etc. The tribes are all part of the hippies’ “green” world. For them it’s both a religious and political term.

For me, pollution is pollution whether we, the caveman or the volcanoes make it. I simply ask, “Is it harming anyone?” If the answer is yes, then we need to either stop making it, or avoid it. In the case of cavemen, their pollution wasn’t harming anyone. In the case of the United States, their pollution isn’t harming anyone. In the case of China, their pollution is very harmful to much of their population, but once again, hippies give them a pass because they’re communists.

Yes, I see armies of maintenance men all over the world, and rubbish dumps full of rusting solar panels.

Trump has given leadership on global warming over to China that takes it very seriously.

The caveman, as far as I know, didn't burn fossil fuel. They used sap from trees for their torches, wood for cooking, animal fat, and vegetable oils for light. Those sources are "green" because they are renewable unlike fossil fuels.

No, China doesn’t take ‘global warming’ seriously for a minute. They are laughing their heads off. Once they receive any money siphoned off Western countries through ‘carbon taxes’, they’ll spend it on whatever they like. Socialists around the world will pat themselves on the back for ‘redistributing wealth via the back door’.

All evidence of any such use would be long gone, but it matters not, since they could have done what I described above.

They are indeed ‘renewable’, but remember what it takes to make solar panels. Is all that industry ‘renewable’? That word, used by greenies, is supposed to mean, “a source of energy that is not depleted by use, such as water, wind, or solar power.” So what’s ‘renewable’ about thousands of tractors and factories running on diesel and coal power electricity?

I'm impressed! You not only read hippie minds, but Chinese minds as well.

Yes, solar power is renewable. "Renewable" applies to the energy source, not the technology used to make the energy useful.

I didn't say diesel, or coal power was renewable.

If you think the Chinese care about the environment, have a picnic in Shanghai some time.

That’s how the greenies tricked you. By getting you to stare at the sun while they chanted, “Renewable, renewable and so remarkably chewable,” you forgot all about the enormous industrial center of their candy bar.

You can’t have solar panels without coal power, nuclear power, oil, diesel, gas, electricity, factories, trucks, ships, shops, roads, highways, train tracks, and all the mining needed to make all the above.

Again, you confuse energy source with process.

Do you have a link to a credible source backing your claim that the Chinese don't care about the environment?

For sure our corporations moving manufacturing to China haven't given a damn about their environment, or the welfare of their people.

When Greenies say ‘green’, they mean “make less harmful or more sensitive to the environment.”

At the same time they say factories, mining industries, industry and the entire infrastructure needed to transport are harmful to the environment. They say that roads, factories, mining companies, etc. are “bad”.

Then they say solar panels are ‘green’.

Regardless of whether solar energy is ‘renewable’, solar panels are obviously not green.

Sure. It’s called the Chinese Communist Party. https://www.google.com/search?q=poll...w=1344&bih=680

American corporations have nothing to do with the pollution in China. The communists in charge are entirely to blame, as is socialism.

Like I said, get rid of your plate glass windows and then we'll talk, you know nothing about this technology.

You are nothing more than a google addict.
