Even if you just say 100,000 extra jobs all up, then you must ask, what would the welfare bill be if this didn't happen? 100,000 people, on $10,000 welfare dollars a year, equals 15 billion dollars in 15 years. On the other hand, if the government pays Foxconn 190 million per year over 15 years (2.85 billion), it saves about 12 billion dollars.

The reason conservatives might do this is thanks to (a) welfare, and (b) income tax. Take those out of the picture and there would be no need.

In the world I would prefer, there would be no welfare, no income tax and thus no government helping private business.

How long will our freedom last if the courts, and rule of law are subordinate to foreign interests?

That's all well and good, but what about all the tax breaks for Foxconn? That seems like welfare to me, yet like typical alt-right wingers everywhere, you only attack welfare for the needy.

Did you or do you ever receive some sort of government benefit?

If you clog up a machine with mud and gunk, it will have problems. If you clog up America with stuff like welfare and income tax, you will have problems. Conservatives are forced to find ways of doing things in ways they normally wouldn't have to. If you don't want those weird things (like giving corporations money) happening, clean up the machine. Get rid of all the socialist-inspired gunk, and see what a difference it will make.

A measly 150 mil? It's nothing, compared to paying all those thousands welfare. Besides, you're forgetting the walloping amount of tax they will pay through their workers in income taxes. All that is tax too, and it all goes back into the government coffers.

That seems like welfare to me,?
It's paying 2.85 billion and 150 million, to avoid having to pay 15 billion. Would you prefer to pay 15 billion?

'Stalker' is how they'll label you on this board if you ask those kinds of questions. Just a head's up.

I seem to have touched a nerve.

It is apparent that you defend corporate welfare yet still attack welfare for the needy, but even more interesting is how you bristle when I mention your benefits at government largess.

Why don't you tell us about them? I bet they put our measly American benefits to bed.

perhaps you should consider selling your brand of capitalism at home, in Australia, before attempting to export it. Not only does the Australian government collect a larger percent of GDP in taxes, but it also spends more as a percent of GDP than the us.

Australia is wallowing in taxes. If you run a business as I do it's not easy. Half the country is on some kind of welfare. The pigs all have their snouts in the trough, and think the world owes them a living. Fighting it here is fruitless, because Aussies copy Yanks. Once you guys start cleaning up your act, and removing socialistic ideas, we'll start doing the same, perhaps with a lag of 15 to 25 years. Trump is the beginning of that change.

    That's a cop out.

You need to be proud and show your love of Trump by giving his salutes to all your fellow countrymen. That should persuade them that your way is the new road and that they are ready to be the world's leaders. Austerity uber alles!!!

Yes guys, this is the kind of stuff that springs up in the middle of the night around here, lol.
