There were northern clans that had a monotheist male god before Judaism but the archaeology is questionable.

I can't read novels, especially 70 year old novels. The establishment is just now starting to accept evidence proves most of what we were taught is wrong.

I'm a big fan of John Anthony West. He is mostly responsible for bringing the facts about worship to the people.

No,men wrote the Bible in the first place. They made God a man. You can not get away from that fact. They even wrote about God creating woman from a rib. There is so much myth in the OT,it is no wonder people are rejecting religion as it is taught. I am more likely to believe Science.

I am fast becoming a Deist as I dwell and research.

Yes, God saw that Adam was lonely and that he needed a mate. So God called down to Adam and told him--Adam, I am going to put you to sleep, take your right arm and make you the perfect mate. Adam replied: God, I genuinely appreciate that, but I am going to need my right arm, so what can I get for a rib.

There is no "fact" to get away from. The use of the male pronoun does not render G-d a "man," any more than use of the female pronoun would have rendered G-d a "woman." It had to be one pronoun or the other, and in Judaism G-d has no sex or gender no matter what pronoun is used.
