You can not tell us in all sincerity you have not voted for candidates that promised to restrict abortion in the state where you live. You can not, in all sincerity, make the claim that the right to life issue is not central in how you vote in your politics. @John T Ford you are no better than a muslim person wanting sharia law as you are a christian wanting no available abortion clinics. Same shit, different smell.
What John doesn't understand and I would argue many here don't understand, is it will go into the back alleys again, abortion will never go "away", it never DID.

He handled this expertly. Thanks for posting.
From what I can tell, Singh seems a force, yet he also seems a natural political ally to Trudeau.

    Am I wrong about that?

Christians in this country are making it REALLY hard to like them. Period.

Islamophobia is a term created by the muslim brotherhood and CAIR to shut down the speech of anyone who questions their agendas.

The very fact that Singh used these terms in response leads me to suspect there was a reason the heckler accused this Sikh of supporting sharia and backing the muslim brotherhood.
Sharia law,,, in your own state John, only this time, whitey did it.

    Socially. But not economically.

The NDP are what you would call democrats and most English speakers call Labour. The Liberals are more like what most countries call Liberal-Democrats or Christian Democrats.

I looked at their party platform, and I saw a lot to like.

As with American Democrats, a lot of the NDP platform seems aspirational; hell, the US Constitution is aspirational as well, and aspiring is part of the human condition. Nothing wrong with that, and if one falls short, time to try again.

Yes. They are perpetual second or third place finishers. But their Provincial counterparts (where there's often only two major parties) are more successful. BC and Alberta now both have NDP governments.
