Can you hop off her hate bandwagon quick second and go find what those policies are?

@John T Ford and @Idiocracat see my P#50. My question exactly because the lady accused him of supporting stuff he didn't support.

The man opposes a law that bares people from wearing head coverings (any head coverings). Of course he would his religion requires he wear a turbin. Just like a Jew requires it and so on and so forth. This law would make these people take it off or they would not be able to work for the gov't or recieve gov't services.

I am totally confused about the pro-muslim brotherhood policies. What the hell are they? The man did not opposed a bill abolishing blasphemy he opposed a bill by the same name but that had to do with something similar to the Patriot Act. His whole party opposed it because it was too wide sweeping in terms of gov't intrusion into peoples lives.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-terrorism_Act,_2015

The Anti-terrorism Act, 2015 (also known as Bill C-51) is an Act of the Parliament of Canada passed by the Harper government that broadened the authority of Canadian government agencies to share information about individuals easily. It is equivalent to the sweeping powers granted to the United States National Security Agency, to monitor the activities of all global netizens, allegedly "in the name of national security". It also expanded the mandate of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS),[7] and was described as the first comprehensive reform of this kind since 2001.[8]

The bill was introduced and passed by the Conservative government of then-Prime Minister Stephen Harper. The Liberal Party supported the bill, although promising to amend the bill to increase oversight if elected. It was opposed by the Green Party of Canada, the Bloc Québecois, Strength in Democracy, and the New Democratic Party, which filibustered Parliament to increase the time allocated to expert witness testimony on the bill.

The Trudeau government introduced 6 June 2017 another Bill C-51 amending the Criminal Code; it is a weakness of the naming conventions that have grown up around the Canadian Parliament that distinct bills are refenced by similar titles.[9] New rules concerning trials for sexual assault have been criticized as "a scandalous reversal of the traditional understanding that the burden of proof of guilt lies upon the Crown."[10] This Bill C-51 is not the same as the Anti-Terrorism Act, 2015.
I am not that familiar with Canadian politics.

I'm just going on what the heckler's response was.

If Singh's voting record is so neutral as you describe, why didn't he defend his policies instead of using the very language of the muslim brotherhood and playing the islamophobia victim card.

    That I find suspect.

But, as the heckler explained in the youtube video you posted, she was not questioning if he was muslim ans she was aware that he was Sikh.

She was questioning his pro-sharia and pro-muslim brotherhood policies specifically .... a topic Mr. Singh conveniently avoided by playing the victim of islamophobia card.

That .... along with his pro-sharia, pro-muslim brotherhood policies that the heckler mentioned, leads me to believe the heckler was spot on.
Your post leads me to believe that you are easily led to believe things.

@John T Ford , I already explained that in my earlier post and so did he. By explaining to her that he was not Muslim he would have re-inforcing her stereotypical views. Its bad enough the woman didn't know the difference between the blashphemy law and the anti-terrorist law, what makes you think she bothered to do her own research on him?

By the way, did you notice how this lady was behaving? Did she look like she was going to be in the mood to listen to the fact she didn't know the first thing about him?
The video of her explaining what she did was recorded after her outburst at another event on a different day. I'd bet dollar to donuts she didn't know he wasn't Muslim when she was making the comments originally. She must have seen herself on Youtube and try to undue the fact she made herself look like a complete idiot.

Oh, I already knew. I read this story in it's entirety yesterday.
Conservatives don't do that. They feed on sensationalism, especially if they think it confirms their hatred.

    As I posted above ....

Singh could have defended his policies.

The woman asked him several times to explain his support.

Instead, he used the language of the muslim brotherhood and played the islamophobia victim card.

If his policies are so squeaky clean and this woman's point was based in ignorance, why didn't he simply shut her down with an intellectual response in defending his policies.

The fact that he dodged the woman's questions and did not address her concerns makes me suspicious.

I would feel the same about any politician on any given subject.

Politicians far too often claim to do one thing and then do another only to dodge any questions or concerns about their actions and policies.

Apparently this is the same in Canada too.

    Politicians are politicians.

@John T Ford Maybe you just don't get it but Singh was right. You don't respond to hate of a group by saying I am not a member of that group!!!. In terms of explaining his policies, why would he have to defend his support or opposition to policies when the first thing she does is accuse him of supporting sharia law?

FIRST It's obvious why he would be against banning head coverings while in public office and it has nothing to do with sharia law and SECOND he had no clue what the hell she was talking about re blasphemy. The last bill introduced under C-51 he actually opposed had nothing to do with blasphemy(it was about terrorism) and his whole party opposed it. If she didn't know that the woman wasn't really interested in anything about him or his NDP party because the lady would have already known that.
