Eventually though, these people mix with other races to create diverse subcultures.
Like what you were referring to. China town, etc. Here, we really don't have things like that. But a neighbor who came here from New York misses his neighborhood because it was all people like himself - immigrants from Eastern Europe. Are you saying they gathered in that hood by oppressive force?

Black culture is...Martin Luther King preaching, Hank Aaron breaking Babe Ruth's home run record, Micheal Jordon dribbling the basketball, Aretha Franklin singing, Micheal Jackson dancing, Muhammad Ali boxing, Maya Angelou reciting poetry, Richard Pryor making us laugh.
Black culture is getting together for Sunday dinner, family reunions, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas.
Black culture is Black parents working hard to give their kids all the things they never had. And seeing a few of the kids fall by the wayside in spite of their parents efforts.
Black culture is Black parents and grandparents telling the kids, "They are ignorant. Just ignore them", when they ask why someone called them ******.
This is my version of Black culture in America.

I took Sassy to be sincere in asking the question, so I tried to answer it to the best of my ability.

Black culture is the same as any other culture ...it's the shared experiences of the group.

I think it's kinda sad that an adult ...living their whole life in America, would not have enough basic African-American history to understand the rudiments of Black culture in America. Blacks' shared struggles and triumphs.

O my mistake, see I thought your post made it personal by identifying the lack of black people on the forum.
