Some things are obvious in the question. Why would I comment on how well the engines run if I meant scrapped engines? Likewise, when asking why 7th Generation Americans tag themselves as African Americans, even though they don't know where it is, etc., why would I be referring to Africans who immigrated here recently? Sure they ARE African Americans, but they are obviously not relevant to the question.

Sadly, on account of being slow no doubt - no need to call me stupid, I'm living it - but I don't understand your analogy fully. Are those who identify as African-American the engines due to be scrapped?

And, all things said, thank you for any answer you feel fit to give me.

Here's the problem: You have millions of 7th generation blacks who feel obliged to use the tag 'African Americans'. Most don't know anything about Africa, which is very different from America. Why do they use the 'African' tag? In my opinion it's because the Left want to keep their slave history an issue, and the tag 'African' makes that easier. In the meantime, there are Africans who immigrate here in this day and age, and they obviously are African Americans. They are irrelevant to this discussion.

I think I understand. You are upset that multi-generational blacks still refer to their African roots.

Fair enough, but I am an American. I am blessed in that I can roll with African-Americans as much as I can with Australian-Americans. Beyond that, I can even roll with Aussies and certainly would along with African-Americans and others whom I refer to as friends, you included.

If you're ever in the San Diego area, I wouldn't mind meeting for a pint or two and a meal on me. True story.

So, tell me more about all these African Americans you said you've met who were nowhere near you when you met them.

Rob steps in another cow pie... hilarious.

"the left" where? Australia? Because, the term "African American" is not really an issue here in America.

That's because of the people you hang with, racist bigots such as yourself are ignorant. I wonder why PH let's such trash post here.

you know in general when you refer to cultures, it is like a Spanish inn, you find there what you yourself brought. There is certainly something like an American culture, but if you are Asian, you will just consider it as a Western culture with local elements, but looking like European culture. The further you are the more you do not see details ! And for non Westerners what Europeans and North Americans have in common is much more that what they have different. And you can push that about mentalities when looking at an East Coast professional and someone from Alabama. What do they have in common ? Nothing much if you look at them from the Middle West. Meanwhile an Asian will consider that compared to him, they look alike. So the thing which is probably the more differenciating American culture from other European culture is jazz. And it comes from Afro Americans... What is difficult to catch is that cultures are more a dynamics than appearances. And the dynamics of the Western world is more based on individualism than others, so how to get to the core of a specific culture. It is certainly not a question of look but more question of spirit.

Can we get rid of this racist piece of shit? What the hell is taking so long?

So you travel to America and then hang out with a bunch of blacks that can't point to Africa on a map? You are obviously a liar and a racist one. I don't know any blacks who could not point to it instantly.
