... "In other words," Schow wrote, "Trump paid 25.3 percent of his income in taxes" which is "a higher rate than what Maddow's beloved former President Barack Obama paid in 2015 (his rate was 19.6 percent) [and] what alleged socialist and multiple homeowner Bernie Sanders paid," adding gratuitously but not without some justification that "nine current and former MSNBC pundits have had tax liens filed against them."...
When running out of arguments, and folks are not falling for trolling, you deflect to a different topic, no matter how ludicrous.

Say, is there an actual part of your life where this strategy works ?

They only bring up disrespecting the flag and military to deflect from having to discuss the real issue they don't want to discuss, or want to ignore even exists, or just want to continue to allow black people to be discriminated against, thrown in jail for long periods of time, or being killed by cops
Yeah, athletes protesting the police brutality / being killed by police is what they find really disrespectful @Dr Sampson Simpson. What they really want is for these "uppity" athletes to sit down and shut up, with a promise of an honest conversation on this subject, as long as they stop protesting. But since the athletes won't stop protesting, conservatives have to lie about what it means to take a knee during the anthem.

Gee, I wonder what this would have looked like in the 50s:

"Rosa, I get what you're saying. And I agree that it's a travesty that you're forced to sit at the back of the bus. But you not moving is starting to make more and more of the white folks really uncomfortable, so I think it's best if you just move to the rear because we're never going to have an honest conversation on this with as long as you demand to sit up front."

If everyone goes back to shutting up, and waiting for the owners, the NFL, the White House or the country to hold an "honest conversation" about what's going on, that conversation will NEVER begin.

Which is exactly what they want.. maintain status quo, pretending that there IS no issue, and that there's nothing to address.
That's why they changed the whole conversation away from the actual protest to the "disrespect 'ma flag" meme. Say what you want, Donald knows how to play his mass.

Montebello High School, CA.. therefore, in the US. Happened back in 2006, done by kids from neighboring high schools, during a protest of immigration reform.

This is unresponsive to my objection.
