Can the Trump negatives assure future successes?

So in terms of long term advancement for those who want a wholesale change in the country, does a President Trump serve that agenda better than a President Hillary?
First, no the extreme left did not get exactly what they wanted through the election of Trump. The GOP got exactly what they wanted. The majority of GOP looked at a field of 15 candidates and decided that Donald Trump was the guy who best represented who they wanted as president.

Second, the American people, both left and right, simply aren't patient enough to gain any long term advantage from something like this. Nixon resigned the presidency in disgrace and six years later the Republicans were back in power. George W. Bush was seen as such a dismal failure at the time that you couldn't find anyone around here who would admit to voting for him. Eight years later the GOP gets their guy Trump elected. There won't be any long term advantages or disadvantages to either party from this disgusting human being being the President of the United States. Our short attention span simply won't allow it.

    Booni, you are changing.

You actually answered the question and quite completely.

Can't say I disagree, but usually when I put a question mark in a thread title, I'm not sure.

I always answer the question... and always completely. You usually dodge though and manufacture a false reality.

After eight years of Obama and a hillary candidate on the ballot....we get Trump. Quite a backlash. The endorsement of Obama, a big chunk of Hollywood and a ton of money couldn't put hillary over the finish line.

It was policy issues that drove the election. Both candidates were heavily flawed.

I agree and I think Trump will pull a second term as well.

Many on this forum will vote for him again -- no matter what he does.

Of course, that assumes that he'll remain in office until 2020.

I disagree. There was very little talk of policy, relative to prior elections.

Trump is certainly a goofy wild card.

But like all Presidencies he will eventually be judged by his results/accomplishments.

    Good or bad.

Wildly unpopular with the idiot choir...everyone else, not so much.
