    Senate 2018

Its coming fast and I thought it might be interesting to start a thread where members could put up news or announcements related to their senators. Neither senate seat is up here in NH so I am a bystander at this point.
Interactive map to play around with. Pretty cool.

Missouri's race will be an interesting one. Claire McCaskill is vulnerable. There are several contenders vying for the GOP nomination: Josh Hawley (our current AG), Austin Peterson (former Libertarian Party presidential runner up), Paul Curtman (Mo. State Rep.), and assorted others. Looking forward to the debates!

I saw news that Hawley is jumping in could he win? Some oddsmakers are claiming McCaskill will be out? I also read about a controversial guy in Wisconsin running for Tammy Baldwins seat. Some say that race could be hard for Baldwin to win.

Hawley has the best shot in terms of name recognition. He's our current AG. Trouble is, he JUST became the AG in 2016. There will certainly be some knocks against him for that.

ETA: Of the three, I'm partial to Curtman. I know Paul. He's good people. But I'd be okay with Hawley, and probably okay with Peterson.

Sorry, but Trump does not need any additional help in the Senate, that is all that is keeping his cra cra at bay.

Jeff Flake is in serious trouble in Arizona.

He's down to a 21% approval rating from his constituents more than likely because he has been opposing Trump.

His challenger, Kelli Ward, is running at 47% approval which means that Flake is more than likely gone and thank God for that.

The man is a worthless RINO if there ever was one.

What's important here is that she is on really good terms with Trump so you can expect him to do a lot of campaigning for her come election time.

Flake opposes the wall and supports amnesty, she is aligned with Trump and honestly I don't know how Flake even managed to get elected in the first place.

Susan Collins has just announced she is remaining in the senate so that seat is hers until 2020.

Of the senate races thus far the potential for fun will be in Massachusetts. While undoubtedly Warren will remain safe, one of her challengers is quite the hoot. He holds 4 PhDs from MIT and "says" he invented email. He hails from India and already has yard signs that say "Vote for the Real Indian." Um...yea...If he wins the primary those debates will be priceless.
