If anything, this action strengthens the so called "house of cards".
    No it doesn't.

The publics trust for the FBI to investigate anything with integrity was severed under Comey during the HRC investigation.

If anything this latest event only strengthens that distrust by validating it.

I think that's a whole new thread. But I'll answer if it helps things along in this thread.

I think that Clinton, and whoever was enabling her should have lost their clearances. That would have been the same that most people would face. Very few people would actually be arrested for being careless with protected information. She's not the president though, so how much time, energy, and money I would like to waste on her is limited. I would be more inclined to say yes, if she were elected.

That really makes no sense to me. Mueller did the right thing as soon as that information came out. We only know about the texts, because of what Mueller did. The only reason that this should make people mistrust Mueller more, would be that he's not providing them with what they want to hear.

    Actually ....

That is exactly what this thread is about. If Strzok was too toxic to work on the Mueller probe then why was he allowed to work on the email probe?

And, given the bizarre outcome of Comey's investigation I think this now gives reason to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the HRC email probe.

The probe was corrupt, it was compromised, and now we have prove of that in this Strzok shill.

The public trust in the FBI is destroyed.

Strzok just offers proof that ALL these investigations have been compromised especially HRC's email probe.

Actually you don't. Unless you can find that he was texting about how wonderful Clinton was or something like that... you really only have that he doesn't seem to like Trump. That only matters if he's investigating Trump.

    Dude .....

You really do need to start reading the articles in the OP.

That is exactly what Mueller said.

I think that "the public" trust in the FBI is mostly fine. Trump posted that the FBI's reputation was in tatters, so folks that are big on Trump seem to believe it. But, looking at actual information... Oops. I tried to find a chart showing FBI public approval over the years, but was not successful. I don't believe Trump's tweet though and suspect that our impression of the FBI is relatively stable over the years.

You are not the public, thank goodness.
