Republicans also said Wednesday that Franken’s departure has opened up an opportunity they weren’t expecting for years. “This presents a major opportunity for Republicans in Minnesota,” said GOP operative Brian McClung, a former top aide to ex-Gov. Tim Pawlenty. “Republicans here are going to be energized by the chance to replace Al Franken. We continue to believe that Norm Coleman beat him the first time around.”

There are no witnesses to any of the things Roy Moore is accused of.

Someone has to take the lead.

"We'll start living up to our standards when you do," is not inspiring.

I'll be very happy if Democrats can draw a bright line between themselves and the GOP on the issue of knowingly elevating and/or retaining sexual offenders.

So far they are taking the lead in victimizing women.

Let me explain it to you.

Because while the Dems are steadily throwing all their perverts under the bus whose accusers are presenting evidence of their transgressions, there is no such evidence on the Republican side.

Forcing anyone out of office based solely on accusation is not going to be acceptable with most American voters.
But if they admit to Sexual Assault you vote them into office. Got it.

Again? Why, so you can not read it again and keep trolling the board with the same relentless fingers-in-the-ears denials?

    Sounds useful.

Damn straight. Right now I've got no stomach for either self-serving opportunistic party. If the Democrats really want to be regarded as having integrity and standing up for what matters, they are going to have to do some house cleaning, and Franken is just the tip of the iceberg, the least of their problems. The party leadership and the people paying the bills will have to take it on the chin.

Nobody will be believed because so and so was paid to lie about ABC candidate and they were forced to leave their job.
That probably will happen but I suspect it will be easy to detect much like the story of the activist female trying to give a fake story about Moore to try and get the news to shame itself by publishing it. They busted her. I do think more activists will do that but they are the fringe after-the-fact of this story about women so hopefully they all get busted because you are correct in thinking it can impact or ruin a movement. We'll see.

If this movement only professionalizes the workplace and gives women the same opportunities and respect as men than all forms of abuse coming out is a very good thing. As they say, it's complicated.
