So TWO of Blouts top appointees are also sounding the alarm bells.

While the WH stays completely silent.

Maybe he think's his military parade is more important than our national security??

What ever happened to the party of "Law and Order"?
Realistically I am not sure what can be done since voting is a state issue and the machines and rolls are only certified by that state. Feds do essentially nothing.

Again cant see how any sort of cyber security could help unless each state allows the NSA or some other federal agency in to help. Most would refuse. Elections are state run not federal.

There is plenty feds could do. Like work hand in hand with the states on their security measures to make sure nothing like this happens again. Do dry runs. Have people with them on election day closing monitoring what is going on.

The cyber security team for the NSA and HLS are top notch.

For sure you could change a vote by hacking. It's not really hard either.

American voting machines are full of foreign-made hardware and software, including from China, and a top group of hackers and national security officials says that means they could have been infiltrated last year and into the future.

DEFCON, the world’s largest hacker conference, will release its findings on Tuesday, months after hosting a July demonstration in which hackers quickly broke into 25 different types of voting machines.

The report, to be unveiled at an event at the Atlantic Council, comes as the investigation continues by four Hill committees, plus Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller, into Russian meddling in the 2016 elections, on top of the firm intelligence community assessments of interference.

Trump has never said ONE word about Russia meddling in our elections, while all of his top security experts have. Seems like he feels that would be a way to "delegitimize" his win. What's ironic about that is, if in fact the Russians do actually change votes in 2018, it will cause a huge uproar of the legitimization of anyone who wins.

All of his actions are very sympathic to Russia. His meeting in the Oval Office where he gave them top secret intel. Not signing the sanctions. Admiring Putin.

    None of which is normal.

Nothing happened, there was no impact on election results.

Then those states obviously don't seem to care about our national security.

I cannot imagine a SOS not wanting help to make sure their elections results are free and clear of any controversy.

Seriously how can so many people on this thread be so obtuse?

It was a trial run to see if they could hack people's info. That was successful. So again for like the 10th time, this has our national security experts very, very worried that they will change actual votes in the mid-terms.
