Unless of course an election is looming... and a GOPer is accused of some act some 30 - 40 yrs ago. Such hypocrisy.

This seems like a complete non-sequitur. Is there a law requiring anyone to attend the SOTU?

If you're concerned about bias, how about a justice's wife being a paid political operative, a justice attending expensive social gatherings sponsored by people with cases before the court, or justices publishing books on legal and political topics?

Are you talking about Scalia who missed over 10? Cuz he's dead, you know. Oh, maybe you're talking about Alito or Thomas who've missed multiples themselves. Wait, I know, that's... DIIFERENT, right?

    LOL... #Hypocrites

This is precisely why I view the left in such a poor light.
    Really?

I mean, it sounds great and all... but how about you let Trump in on this. I think Trump being less divisive would be fabulous. And while you're at it, pass this post around amongst your rightie pals here, some of whom do nearly nothing but mock lefties every chance they get. I mean, it would be a shame if righties were as divisive as you see lefties being. And as long as you're being such a swell guy, can you get the hyper conservatives to stop running the moderates out of the GOP? It would be nice if I had choices next time around.

Supreme Court Justices fail to attend SOTU addresses all the time. It has nothing to do with political bias.

No law. But deciding to skip it reveals much about the "objective" justice...NOT. The discussion was concerning justices not being objective. I was simply making my point, despite your deflection.

Trump is declared divisive by the left because he refuses to stand by and allow the media to lie and create stories from "unnamed" sources...gee what a meanie he is. Meanwhile the divisive left shoots Republicans, Obama had stated openly "Conservatives can get in the back of the bus" "elections have consequences" - did the left complain about divisiveness then? Hell no. Frickin' hypocrites.

It is hardly my fault that your beliefs do not comport with reality. See boontito's post.

So Scalia, Alito, and Thomas were showing their extreme bias when they skipped SOTU addresses?
