    Just those squishy independents.

Poll: 75 percent of voters approve of Trump?s State of the Union | TheHill

...Still, Trump outperformed among all these groups, with 97 percent of Republicans, 72 percent of independents and 43 percent of Democrats saying they approve. By contrast, a CBS poll released earlier this month found that only 33 percent of independents and 7 percent of Democrats approve of the job Trump is doing in office.
Sixty-five percent of those surveyed said Trump’s speech made them feel proud, 35 percent said safer, 21 percent said angry and 14 percent said it made them feel scared....

Trump was elected by 26% of the registered voters....

There are more independents and Democrats than Republicans by far, and a year of Trump has galvanized those people in special elections all over the country. Plan on losing the House in November, you just do not have the numbers to win against a motivated electorate, especially with your gerrymandered states in trouble with the SCOTUS

This little factoid is not going away because Trump read off a teleprompter...he has blown that already with his constant tweets.

Is that important? He was in a three way race if I remember correctly. Has no bearing on Trumps relative popularity and ability to increase his voter base with his policies. In fact, these special elections are showing just the opposite, he is losing popularity and political capital.
