I'll paraphrase Einstein, or was it Twain, who said something to the effect - "Whoever enjoys a military parade falls below my contempt; the good Lord gave him his great brain by mistake. The spinal chord would have been sufficient."

I guess it WAS Einstein: https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/236...k-and-file-has

There you go again. You didn't vote for Trump but you'll even go as far as to defend his hair. You can't make this shit up.

    Like THAT?

Of course, it was gonna be in NYC back then.
Was Schumer the POTUS at the time?

And a multi-pronged defense at that with several different deflections, all aimed at Democrats, it is fun to watch his play, it never varies from thread to thread.

There was also no suggestion of bringing in tanks and other military vehicles (other than flyovers).

No, in your fantasy world. The one where Clinton is the subject of dozens of your postings even though she lost. HUTA syndrome doesn't usually last this long.

    Here
We live in the era of click bait.

As far as I can tell, the "Google News" webpage is one of the only one's left that is not crawling with click bait boxes, ALL designed to draw our attention. As long as news orgs. will take ANYONE's money to fund their websites and companies, as long as people keep clicking on the bait boxes, little is going to change.

Those who make use of click bait boxes the same way the National Enquirer draws buyers at grocery store check-out counters for decades, only survive because we our curiosity causes us to click on them. When we click on them their purpose is fulfilled, they can count our click, and claim they draw audiences to those wishing to advertise their wares.

Not that it matters, because there are enough people that do keep buying rags like the National Enquirer, people that keep tuning in to ET and other gossip TV shows.....people that keep tuning in to what's going on with the Kardashians and other "reality TV" shows, that keep them coming........

Nothing wrong with entertainment, but I think the line between entertainment and the real world is being blurred and much of our real world, for some people has become so intertwined with entertainment and searching for something to distract from the more mundane and everyday. This is perhaps why so many websites, including "news" websites, have taken on the appearance of a grocery store checkout with all manner of little "last minute" things to buy and add to one's cart, including stories about Mia Farrow's "REAL" life "Rosemary's Baby"......that we may know are total BS, but draw our attention and in enough cases to keep them coming, draw some money out of our pockets.

It's all about the money and if there are not enough people interested in handing over enough to keep them alive, they die. All they need are enough Viking Beasts or KnotaFrayed's to click on a story about Donald Trump's hair and they can sell all those clicks to potential and existing advertisers. When there are thousands upon thousands of people looking for your click, they are going to come up with the most appetizing stories they can find to draw you in and, even if you thought the story was a huge waste of time and a non-story, they got your click and will get the clicks of any posters here that click on the article to see what it's all about.

That's, how it works and we're all suckers for it, somewhere along the line.....

This fuckin OP has been shredded more than Trump WH documents. Hijacked more than Middle Eastern airplanes. Shot more times than a member of the Kennedy family.
