I mean as annoying the dinner pictures or constant updates about peoples' kids are, I'll take those over the memes from Patrioteaglenewz.com or Defytrump.net.

On Facebook, early, I thought gaining most friends was a goal. At 15 hundred I stopped.
I then hit on idea number two to scope female freinds of freinds and friending and flirting.
Three failures later I realized I loved flirting, that's all, no more no less, and stopped.
Idea number three involved debate which sadly informed me how woeful unprepared most are for that and become pissy, I then stopped but not after thinning down that friends list quite substantially

I have a facebook account, but don't really use it. I have 4 or 5 friends on there(all family).
And I don't have any use for a cell phone, so I don't have one.

I have not had a landline for 15 years.

As to FB, I use it to keep up with people, but rarely post anything myself. Basically, I only post if something interesting happens.

Last time I had one was in 2008, and the only thing it was used for was connecting with a 56k modem. The rez didn't have high speed (and afaik still doesn't). The only thing I used the modem for was email, PH, and limewire before it went completely to hell. The only ones who ever called us were telemarketers, so there was no phone plugged in. We had Motorola razrs lol.

    Also, get off my lawn

I didn't take my account down, but a couple years ago I stripped my wall down, only leaving a pic of Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.

I got tired of seeing my old classmates turn out to be racists and just plain conservative idiots.

I was NOT going to engage them in politics and turn the place into a war zone, most of them don't seem to know shit anyway, they knew more in HS.

There are some things I'll have to do without though, like the two or three "Happy Birthday!" greetings I get when Facebook remembers my birthday. (which, is not really my birthday, lol.)

And I don't know why people put so much extra effort into it, typing out "H-a-p-p-y B-I-r-t-h-d-a-y... why go to all that trouble, why not just use initials, "H. B."?

And in many ways it's high school all over.

    Thx

They need to just ban political ads, anyone suggested that?

    Thx
