So, would there be firearms stocked inside the safe spaces, and if not, why?

You have to build "shelters" for kids in school rather than even entertain the thought of discussing some common sense gun laws.
Guns are more important than anything else in the US. That much is obvious, and it's an insane situation your country finds itself in: you have a serious problem with the amount and types of guns in circulation, but you are hamstrung by an absurd and anachronistic amendment to the constitution.

It's insane, but nothing can or will be done and the gunnuts will prevail every time much to their enjoyment. Other civilised nations find this predicament utterly ridiculous.

How many weapons do you think that you could get off the streets and how long would it take? Throw out your best guess.

None of which will protect children from the next school shooting.

Do you see a future where Courthouses and Banks will no longer have to be Hard Targets in the future utopia of yours?

I promise not to say anything about the Alt Left Universe here but, dang ........ a little more reality and common sense is desperately needed.

It's simple dualistic thinking: things are either good or bad to that sort of mind-nothing in between.

Why is everything about gun control with liberals .... none of which will do the first thing to protect children from the next school shooter.

You want to talk gun control ..... FINE

But, can we talk common sense here about what needs to be done to protect the children first?

Don't forget to arm the bus drivers, since once the spree killers get scared away from the school by armed guards, you know where they'll go next.

Also, we should probably have armed guards at strategic elevated lookouts to cover the kids during recess. Better yet, we move recess indoors. Playground is too porous.
