Trump agreeing to meet with a leader that's shunned by the world just because he asked? That's what you consider the "diplomatic accomplishment of the century"? This is what North Korea has wanted for decades. To be able to meet with a US president as a show of how powerful their government is. Trump may fancy himself a deal maker in his private life. But, we're talking about real human lives here and the possibility of a nuclear war. It's no time for his gimmicks or to be engaging in his flippant con games. This is the office of the president in the most power nation in the world. Yet, he's treating it like he's playing "Monopoly" and it's a "get out of jail free" card.

Well, goes to show how much of a failure the strategy of patience has been.

Maybe for you, but I am not a Trump fan willing to champion his idiocy of the day.

Agreed. NK plays the west periodically to gain concessions.

Remember when Trump tweeted that his own secretary of state was wasting his time trying to talk to North Korea?

Seems odd he is so proud of himself now as he is claiming to be meeting with North Korea.

Meh. Nobody cares where Donald Trump dips his wick. It's the paying off of Stormy Daniels to lie about their affair and the attempt to cover up the payoff that makes this news.

Absolutely! Nothing but distractions. He is not fooling anybody except his diehard Trumpettes. The rest of us can see thru it.

His "idiocy" seems to have done more for World Peace then the Peace Prize winner Obama ever dreamed.

It's not about championing, it just accepting reality for what it is.
