But, we're talking about real human lives here and the possibility of a nuclear war. It's no time for his gimmicks or to be engaging in his flippant con games. This is the office of the president in the most power nation in the world. Yet, he's treating it like he's playing "Monopoly" and it's a "get out of jail free" card.
It's the first baby step. Let's see where it goes , the last few presidents didn't get anywhere. Though Korea / nukes pales in comparison to Trump / Russia with you.

The last thing Putin wants is a possible one Korea. The west right up on Russia's border is not his objective.

It's not Trump, it's policy. You had your eight year love fest with the historic Peace Prize winner.

When trump tweeted that he had a bigger red button that worked.

The next day the diplomatic lines opened.

This is an extension of that first move.

All facilitated by the big dick jokes / nuclear threat by trump.

Trump did say "the era of strategic patience is over".

You can downplay trumps impact, I doubt history will.

    Fact, opinion, or worship?

I think an amalgam of the latter 2.

What Americans should be asking is if the offer is made to stop all nuclear aspirations in exchange for US forces leaving South Korea, what will the answer be?

What will the answer be if both South and North Korea ask? Together?

Cause that does seem to be the purpose of this meeting.

Moon was instrumental in the “Sunshine Policy” that gave billions to North Korea in exchange for nothing.

I’m guessing Kim told him “we just want to be left alone, but we need the nukes because of threat of US invasion. If that threat disappears we don’t need the nukes”. And Moon thinks delivering that message to Trump in person will make it so.

And as we all know, it totally might. Or might not. Or might infuriate him. Or inspire him to push for it. Or something else. Depending on his mood on any particular day.

History won't. That I can tell you.

Despite the desperate rhetoric of TDS-infected liberal democrats who are already mounting a pitiful effort to take credit away from Trump should he succeed... if the President does accomplish the nuclear disarmament of North Korea through diplomacy (and that's a huge IF) it would be one of the great foreign policy achievements of this century arguably saving millions of lives. So his place in history as a great president would be secured irregardless of their partisan efforts.

    Or arguably saving none.
