I don't really understand why Ted Bundy would lie about something like that. But anyway...I wasn't trying to suggest that porn was a motivator. I was disputing your claim that rapists have little interests in porn because that's not what my information says.

I suspect that porn probably acts in the same way for rapists that violent video games do for a school shooter. It does't cause their behavior - but it does feed their fantasies.

Dahmer, Bundy, Bishop, Chikalto, Gacy, Berkowitz, Ramirez, Kemper, Toole... etc. They all had addictions to porn.

Bundy clearly manipulated that interview where he made that claim.

And what about all those other serial rapists and murderers I listed who had addictions to porn?

Clearly violent sexual predators are interested in porn.

Did I contradict your point in any way? No. Bundy did lie in that interview where he claimed porn made him do it and he was highly manipulative. Watch it and see for your self.

Maybe he did. He's not the first serial rapist and murderer to use the "the porn made me do it" defense.

I thought you were Enigma and didn't realize you had interjected. So if you want to make the side point that Bundy was being highly manipulative I got no problems with that.

I just wanted to dispel the notion that violent sexual offenders aren't interested in porn. Because according to my information they are and usually have extensive pornography collections and addictions.

Violence in video games is one thing but violence in general is represented as a form of control. Imagine if you felt as if you had no control and nobody gave 2 shits about you. Violence is an easy next step and the tools are there from bullying to fighting to killing.

Video games simply turn this control into a win but it's based off a real sense of how violence works.

I have not seen a video game...violent or not. Are they really that bad?

There is nothing really off limits regarding violence in video games outside of 2 common no-nos: violence with sex, violence with kids (although there are exceptions, unfortunately).

Game developers do not create a culture of violence, they utilize an existing culture and interest and bank on it.

It is more likely violent people like violent games than violent games creating violent people.

I can't recall who, but somebody back in the day commenting on the video-game diversion, pointed out that despite the popularity of albums from Cheech and Chong, Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx, and Chris Rock, the streets were not breaking out in comedy.
