During February 2017’s Saviour’s Day event, he changed his tone and publicly expressed his liking for Donald Trump claiming “Trump ‘is the only member who has stood in front of the Jewish Community and said, ‘I don’t want your money.’” He seemed to put aside the issue of Trump’s travel ban that initially targeted people from seven majority Muslim countries and claimed he did not endorse the candidate but he liked what he saw. Days later, in a statement that came out in The Final Call, Farrakhan tried to make it clear he did not endorse anyone but did admit to giving Trump credit for not taking corporate money for his campaign.

In December of 2016, just days after Trump won the presidency, he spoke to his followers and assured them that Trump’s presidential win presented an opening for other black people to realize it was time to separate from “White America.” Farrakhan saw Trump’s rhetoric as a much-needed push that would enlighten others to join his movement, “My message to Trump: Push it real good, push it so that black people say, ‘I’m out of here. I can’t take it no more.’”

Your blanket disdain for other sources other than your own is stupid.

The truth is the truth no matter where you find it.

Yet you use this as a litmus test to discredit anything that you disagree with. You might as well say you disagree with this opinion because he/she went to a different university, wears brown shoes with shades of blue, was born in the South, or speaks with an accent, failed elementary math, or supported a candidate that you dislike.
Seriously? Your false sense of superiority is hollow.

Farrakhan is evil. His message is evil. He lures his followers with hate, non-responsibility, and was even accused of murdering his opponents in the cult. He is just as bad as the KKK only he isn't extinct yet.

Do you buy Tamika Mallory's excuse for supporting a racist like Louis Farrakhan?

I mean if the KKK was building houses for Habitat for Humanity would that legitimize the David Dukes of the world?

We have outlaw motorcycle gangs here in Texas that do these Toys for Tots runs around Christmas to provide toys for poor children.

They actually have a huge turn out and provide thousands of gifts for poor children.

But, at the end of the day, they are still running weapons and drugs in our communities.

I got a problem with that.

Sometimes the good WILL NOT outweigh the bad.
I'm reluctant to condemn someone based solely on their associations. You make it tempting as your KKK analogy is persuasive - and when applied here does make the reasoning for not severing ties look like a pathetic excuse. Because we both know she would be severing ties with the KKK in a new york minute no matter what kind of presence they had in the community.

The editorial also makes Mallory out to be somewhat of a coward - who is too afraid to disavow Farrakhan because he could exact political retribution against her. So really this piece by Adam Sewer does her no favors.

Do you really think this person is anything other than another liberal racist?

    Really?
