I'd prefer that weapons of war not be sold to the public.

My question here, is would the number of people injured and killed be about the same if the shooter had used a semi auto handgun instead of an AR 15?
No, the damage would have been far less.

But if were going to point out hypotheticals - then allow me to point out that mass shooters who have used semi-automatic handguns did not do so from a multi-story building at 400+ yds range.

As far as AR-15's go. They are a far cry from military rifles. They are a semi-automatic .223. That is a small round.

I watched that earlier from another blog.

    That was fucking epic.

The AR is no different than any other semi-automatic rifle, it just looks scary. And the whole argument about it being "military style" is BS. Style? Really?

So it can fire full auto as well as select-fire and semi-auto? Here's a clip of an actual "military style" weapon, the Heckler & Koch M27 firing in full auto. The AR cannot do that. Not on its own. It's a NERF gun compared to the M27.

Also, the AR accounts for less than 2% of all gun deaths, so why aren't you lobbying to ban the real killer, semi-automatic handguns?

Weapons of war? You mean like the m240 bravo?

Or maybe the mk 19 automatic grenade launcher?

Or how about the browning m2 .50 caliber machine gun? You are talking about actual weapons of war right? Or are you just parroting buzzwords from the left?

Of course not, that just means they didn't take enough weapons away.

As if that would deter the type people that have decided a mass shooting was a viable effort in the first place.
