Whoa, that conjecture really came from a galaxy far, far away!

No doubt it has taken over our politics, the media has nothing to do with it. Trump is so much like Hitler it isn't funny. He lies knowing his followers will believe anything he says. There is a reason why wherever you look in this country for areas of poverty and piss poor education rates you find nothing but trumpeters. Trump plays on the weak and stupid.

You are just pushing one person's narrative again.

And you still have not answered the question about how Attkisson is the only who is right, and the thousands of other journalists are all part of some big conspiracy to keep "the truth" from coming out - a question you are still dodging.

I'm in chapter one of "The Smear" and dozens of journalists support the ideas in her books. In fact, she quotes them constantly. The narrative is simply discovery of what is and the "IS" is that our politics and our media have both been co-opted by propaganda. Links are included. And as expected, both parties and both sides of the partisan media are involved.

Conspiracy theory that ignores the thousands of journalists who do not buy into it and did not write a book. You are still deflecting.

How can I deflect from a non existent point? Are journalists peer reviewed? Do you have polling data that samples journalists? You cannot even pose the theory you think journalists would disagree with.

This is nothing but deflection. And everything I thought I would find (and did find in her previous book) is true here. Atkkisson points out the smear artists on both sides of the aisle. She includes historical examples that go back to the beginning of the Republic. She quotes others constantly, so that anyone who disagrees can challenge or investigate on their own. This is not what conspiracy theorists do. This is what journalists do.

So what exactly do you disagree with? David Brock who was an anti-Clinton smear artist became an anti-Republican smear artist. Same techniques, different side of the aisle. Study the techniques. Recognize how they work. Dig deeper. Does that sound like a conspiracy theory to you? Do you consider David Brock a journalist?

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...=.86cddd603637

The career of the silver-haired smear artist has come full circle with a report in the New York Times that Brock directed $200,000 from his political action committee empire into an effort to encourage women to go public with accusations of sexual offenses against President Trump — and that one of Brock’s most devoted donors kicked in even more. (My effort to get a response from Brock for this column was unsuccessful.)

That news comes nearly a quarter-century after Brock launched his lucrative brand by walking point on the so-called Arkansas Project. Funded through a seven-figure donation by Pittsburgh billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife to the American Spectator magazine, the project sent Brock rooting through the misdeeds — whether real or fictitious did not appear to matter — of then-President Bill Clinton during his years as governor of Arkansas

Got a source better than NPR for journalistic even handedness? Did you think that Journalism sunk the Bork nomination?

    https://www.npr.org/sections/itsallp...-maybe-forever

The nomination changed everything, maybe forever," says Tom Goldstein, publisher of the popular SCOTUSblog, which extensively covers the Supreme Court. "Republicans nominated this brilliant guy to move the law in this dramatically more conservative direction. Liberal groups turned around and blocked him precisely because of those views. Their fight legitimized scorched-earth ideological wars over nominations at the Supreme Court, and to this day both sides remain completely convinced they were right. The upshot is that we have this ridiculous system now where nominees shut up and don't say anything that might signal what they really think
